The building is Eliasson’s first architectural work and is open to the public on the ground floor, where visitors can enjoy the artworks free of charge. Spanning 9,000 square meters and composed of four interconnected cylinders standing 28 meters high, the structure creates a link between Vejle Fjord and the city centre. Art and architecture merge seamlessly, with the design engaging in a continuous dialogue with the surrounding water, offering different views through its curved openings. The ground floor rooms are traversed by water, and installations like the Fjord Whirl and Fjord Reflector illustrate the interplay of light, water, and wind. It is even possible to kayak through the building.
