Eventyrhaven is situated by the Odense River, right behind Odense Cathedral and Town Hall, and is a lovely park where nature and art come together. A wooden bridge takes you across the river to the rotunda, a small circular island with seasonal flowerbeds filled with spring bulbs, dahlias, and perennials, which can be admired from the benches. The wooden staircase along the water is a perfect spot to relax and watch the ducks.
The park is home to several artworks, including the H.C. Andersen statue by Louis Hasselris from 1949 and Erik Heide's sculpture "The Paper Boat" from 1985, which can be seen in the river. Eventyrhaven is also known for its pergola, the elegant bridges, and the impressive "Chinese Wall," all crafted with the quality befitting a town hall garden. The original pergola on the rotunda featured a unique pattern of diamond-shaped beds, which can still be seen today.
