Café Biografen is located on Amfipladsen by Brandts Klædefabrik in the heart of Odense. Here, you'll find a bright and welcoming café with a warm atmosphere, a tasty kitchen, and three cinema halls where we screen smaller films that often carry big messages.
The cinema was founded in July 1983 by four local enthusiasts who had never run a cinema before. Inspired by places like Klaptræet in Copenhagen and Øst for Paradis in Aarhus, which combine café and cinema, they created Café Biografen. Originally, the cinema had only two halls, but today we offer three.
Café Biografen was created with a focus on providing great experiences. We have designed the place just as we would wish for it as guests: With a well-stocked bar, small cozy tables, and many nooks for relaxed gatherings – both before and after the film.
